Thanks, checked this into CVS. Great work.

I'll move this to Fixed Bugs. However, this doesn't immediately solve Daste's problem. You'll either have to compile your own kernel with this fix, circumvent it in the LV2 installation, or indeed install single files in the recipe for the moment being.

Open source the way it should be, cooperative effort. Smile

Yep, I will go for individual file installation and leave a comment for future versions of Syllable... but let me clean this room first Wink

So, here is the new LV2core recipe (LV2core-3.0.recipe):

authors Stefano D'Angelo
status contributed

headline Core LV2 specification
description
LV2 is a standard for plugins and matching host applications, primarily targeted at audio processing and generation.

LV2 is a successor to LADSPA, created to address the limitations of LADSPA which many applications have outgrown. Compared to LADSPA, all plugin data is moved from the code to a separate data file, and the code has been made as generic as possible. As a result, LV2 can be independently extended (retaining compatibility wherever possible), and virtually any feasible plugin features can be implemented in an LV2 plugin.

More information about LV2 can be found at <http://lv2plug.in>.

And here is the SLV2 recipe (SLV2-0.6.6.recipe):

authors Stefano D'Angelo

headline A C library providing simple use of LV2 plugins
description
SLV2 is a library to make the use of LV2 plugins as simple as possible for applications.

SLV2 is free software (GPL v2 or later) written in C99 using the Redland RDF toolkit, and is known to work on GNU/Linux and Mac OS X.

oops, i forgot about default paths for slv2! we have two options: one is to make a tiny patch (takes me 5 seconds), the other is to set LV2_PATH in some startup script - I would prefer the first...

Any path should be set in a tasks/setup/LV2.sh script (early-init/LV2.sh on the current Syllable) as we discussed before.
