Hello

About Patch, SDL will be corrected in the next version of Syllable? Because in the version 0.6.6, with DOSBOX or Aranym, I got this error: " Couldn't initialize SDL: SDL not built with cdrom support"

Best regards

I split off this post so I could move it to the Bugs section.

We have new patches from Rui to update SDL to the latest release version, so that should happen in a new Syllable release. However, we've never had this error before, so I have no reason to think that the SDL upgrade will fix it. We will have to investigate this separately.

The behaviour for our SDL was to disable cdrom, or better to select the dummy setup. That will require another look..

Ok. I knew the error of SDL for two years, when I installed "Dosbox" package.

I am registered here only for three months.
I thought you knew about this error.
Anyway, that's okay, there are many other programs to compile. Smile

Odd, I tried DOSBox quite extensively several years ago, with the current binary package. Maybe it's limited to newer versions.

Hello

There is a solution for this error.

When you compile the sources, you must disable or remove the initialization of the cdrom in SDL.

I tried with Aranym 0.9.0 (Atari ST Emulator) and with
Dosbox 0.74. It's OK.

I have identified the cause for this bug. I'll try and update our patches for 1.2.15.
Any other bugs you came across?

Right now, I have no particular problem except some SDL windows which block when there is an opening or saving a file. But this problem can also happen on Linux. So ...
