I propose writing a new kernel that could revolutionize computing and change the world. The OS would be fast, easy to implement, secure, uncrashable, and not allow illegal code manipulation code manipulation. This code must be so stable and secure that banks would rely on it for day to day use.

Anyone interested in writing a new new secure ubiquitous small fast encrypted pervasive annonymous biometrics savvy os for the future? The cyber war btween China and the rest of the world has compelled us to change out practice of using open easily intruded upon C/C++ based computer languages and OSs. I have ideas and plans to start this new kernel.

What do you have planned for the next fifteen years? You'll have to put all that on hold, if you're doing it yourself. LOL

That's not an entirely fair statement. It depends what you mean by "operating system" You could put together a simple "task processor" style of operating system in a short while. But - I suspect you'd want bells and whistles, and that's what eats up the time. You'd be better off investing in one of the dozen or so projects that have already attained a running start: Haiku, Visopsys, Syllable, Minix3, Barrelfish, etc. (Not including Linux knockoffs).
