I have been looking at the site and I couldn't find any help on running Syllable without the Desktop. Is it possible to boot up to a command prompt by defualt?

I am going to be developing and device that should boot on its own and I don't want a user login either. Is it possible to bypass that as well? Smile

No, the graphical environment is fully integrated into Syllable Desktop. There is no character mode console.

However, you could use Syllable Server for this. It is meant precisely for these sorts of purposes.

Bypassing the login on Syllable Desktop is not hard. The boot process starts the dlogin program, which starts the desktop program. You can change it to start the desktop immediately.
